The handling system with boxes provides for the positioning of containers on the boxes inside the terminal, in double height, and then the transfer on board using a special translifter. The technical characteristics of the translifter allow a quick and precise positioning of the boxes on board, allowing an optimization of the ship's spaces. With the load prepared in advance, the loading and unloading operations are considerably reduced. With this system you can get a productivity of 120 teu/hour against the previous system which, in optimal conditions, reached 28 teu / hour, increasing the load capacity of 125% in case of semi-trailers and 16% in case of dry loaded containers. This modern system of loading and unloading of ships can also be used for maritime transport of heavy goods that normally does not travel in containers such as pipes, marble, timber, and so on.
